Visions of Europe by Bela Tarr

This is a short film by the great Hungarian film director Bela Tarr called Prologue. It is a part of an omnibus film project Visions of Europe, in which one director from each of the members of the European Union was asked to make a short film on the personal vision of current or future life in Europe. This is Tarr's entry for the film, done in his signature style...

It's a short film vb! ;)

It shows how he uses long-take-moving-camera and dreamy b/w cinematography with a lilting score to create an effect.

Thanks for this link, the effect is lovely. Those are really long takes considering it's a short. Btw What exactly is the Zentropa connection here?

Zentropa is the Danish production company which financed the project.

It is more famous for being connected with the Danish film director Lars von Trier.
